Scandic Landvetter

Scandic

2021

Hotel

Gothenburg, Sweden

When Scandic Landvetter opened in 2021 as the only hotel directly connected to the terminal at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, it became a strategic meeting point for both business and leisure travelers. We at SIFAB were responsible for the delivery and installation of all fixed furnishings in the hotel's public areas – a task where sustainability, functionality, and aesthetic expression went hand in hand.

Background

The hotel is located in the heart of the airport terminal area, with efficient connections and a clear role as a hub for meetings and travel. The project's background was marked by an ambition to create an interior that both welcomes global travel and highlights Nordic design and natural materials. Sustainability and circularity were clear guiding principles — the interior was to consist of robust materials that can be reused in future renovations.

Process

During the course of the project, we worked closely with the client and the design team to define material choices, interior solutions, and logistics for delivery and assembly. We delivered fixed furnishings that meet high standards of quality and sustainability – using natural, durable materials and a construction that allows for reuse during future renovations. Installation was carried out with great precision to ensure that the public areas had a cohesive and thoughtful feel.
