When the Comfort Hotel Solna opened in 2021 in Arenastaden – next to Friends Arena and Mall of Scandinavia – it became a high-profile hotel project with a strong focus on sustainability. The building was the world's most solar panel-dense hotel with about 1.5 solar panels per hotel room. We at Sifab were responsible for the delivery of fixed and loose furnishings with material selections that reflect the environmental profile and the high quality standards.

Background
The project was a clear investment in sustainability: with solar panels placed on both the roof and the facade, located in an area with high foot traffic from visitors to events and shopping. The challenge was to create interior solutions that matched the hotel's ambitious environmental goals – both aesthetically and functionally – while ensuring that the hotel environment would appeal to various types of guests: event travelers, families, and business travelers.
Process
In close collaboration with the client and design team, we defined the material choices, design, and functionality for the interior. Focusing on sustainability, we worked with recyclable and durable materials – solutions that can withstand high loads, service demands, and modern maintenance. The delivery included both public environments and guest rooms.
